A “Song & Rants” about what “sucking the lemon” means… along with why plants suck and the beautiful thing about painful situations.
Nobody (at least, anybody I know) actually ENJOYS pain. I mean, who actually LIKES walking through painful stuff… taking the high road, facing the hard stuff. What’s beautiful about facing the hard stuff (sucking the lemon) is how good it feels afterwards. How rewarding it is to know that you asked and answered the questions that were SOOOOOO hard to ask. And yes, sometimes you need some help. Some support. Some coaching. Some counselling. Some friends. That’s the reality. What I’d like to encourage you (and myself) with today is to suck the lemon. To face the hard questions. To NOT run. To NOT look for that escape. To embrace what you need to face. You can do it. You will do it. You will be OK.
This song is a David Wilcox cover of “All the roots grow deeper when it’s dry“. Thanks to Shona for reminding me of this beauty.
